My research interests include bilingualism, language attrition, and language change. I address them by studying the factors that affect phonetic, morphosyntactic, lexical, and pragmatic change in Russian-English bilinguals.
I have founded and organized Bilingual Language Interference Research Group (BLInG). The group unites the students of Ural Federal University and independent researches who examine the nature of language shift and interferance in late bilinguals. Together we try to combine the expertise of the scholars from different backgrounds to record the interviews and study them by various methods. By doing that we attempt to make up a cohesive image of how L1 and L2 interact in late bilinguals and what factors contribute to the dynamics of this interaction.
Currently we are looking for Russian native speakers who live in English speaking countries for an interview. If you fit the description please consider the invitaion to research (in Russian). For any questions do not hesitate to contact me.
